Book Club

Highly recommended reading:

"The Help"
by Kathryn Stockett

Set in the 1960s, "The Help" narrates the lives of the black women who worked in privileged white homes in Jackson, Misssippi as "the help," during the midst of the turmoil of the civil rights movement. Three ordinary women embark on an extraordinary task for their time, and their lives will never be the same.

Throughout its captivating pages, "The Help" will have you laughing out loud and crying at the same time. It is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I hope you enjoy it too!!

(Also, for you non-readers, the book on tape is a hoot! With excellent dialogue and well- casted characters, I also recommend listing to it after you have read it!)
