Hurry Down The Chimney

Hi friends- I put this on the ole 'Book yesterday, but thought I'd try the next best source of comments and opinions!  

Can anyone recommend the Nikon S80  . . .

or the Sony CyberShot DSC-H55?

I'm not quite ready to take the plunge to the big girl stuff yet (i.e. DSLR), but do want a step up from my Canon Powershot.  Any suggestions or advice?
